When Service Becomes Action: Veera Maruthi Seva Trust Repairs Village Road After Monsoon Damage

After the recent monsoon season, continuous heavy rainfall severely damaged the main connecting road of our village. The road was filled with deep potholes, thick mud, and waterlogging, making it extremely difficult and unsafe for daily travel.

Patients, pregnant women, elderly people, school children, auto rickshaws, and many villagers were facing serious problems. Vehicles were getting stuck in the mud, emergency travel became risky, and even walking on the road was challenging.

Understanding the seriousness of the situation, Veera Maruthi Seva Trust (Reg.) immediately brought this issue to the notice of the concerned authorities and requested the PWD Department multiple times to repair the road. However, due to delays in response and the urgent need for safe transportation, the Trust decided not to wait any longer.

With a strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to public welfare, the trust members themselves stepped forward.

The volunteers and trustees:

  • Filled potholes with mud and stones
  • Leveled the damaged portions
  • Cleared slush and water
  • Restored the road to make it motorable and safe

Through collective effort and teamwork, the road was made usable again for villagers.

This initiative ensured:
✅ Safe travel for patients and pregnant women
✅ Smooth movement for auto rickshaws and school children
✅ Relief to daily commuters
✅ Immediate benefit to the entire village

This act reflects the true spirit of our Trust — “Service to society is service to God.”

Veera Maruthi Seva Trust remains committed to working for the welfare, safety, and development of the community at all times.

Together, we can build a better and safer village.
